Come, gather under the Tent of Abraham for our third year series: Building peace through dialogue and action. Through education and dialogue, we aim to help create a world where people of different faiths, or no faith, can live in harmony and peace.
I. ASK THE HARD QUESTIONS
We’ll start this year’s series with an opportunity for participants to get answers to questions, including those you might have been afraid to ask, from Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faith leaders.
Date: Sunday, November 4, 2018, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Location: Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 125 Canterbury Drive, Aptos
II. BUILD UNDERSTANDING
Our second event will focus on understanding conflict, including what our sacred texts tell us about conflict and resolution.
Date: Sunday, January 27, 2019, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Location: Chadeish Yameinu, Veteran’s Memorial Building, 846 Front Street, Santa Cruz
III. BECOME ALLIES IN LEARNING
At this concluding event, we’ll learn how to resolve conflict. You’ll have an opportunity to participate in Bystander Training, conducted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations
Date: Sunday, March 31, 2019, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Location: Islamic Center of Santa Cruz, at CFSL, 1818 Felt Street, Santa Cruz
